Guidelines for Submissions
- We urge you either
to subscribe to E.D. ($27.00 for three issues) or to purchase a sample
copy ($6.00, including postage) so that you may have an idea of E.D.'s
content and format.
- E.D. publishes
both general and theme-oriented issues. Information about upcoming issues
is generally available in the late fall. Subscribers receive advance notice
of upcoming themes or general issues. Unsolicited manuscripts which do not
meet announced criteria will be returned, as will mss. received past the
announced deadline date.
- All submissions must
be accompanied by a stamped self-addressed envelope (SASE) which is the
same size and carries the same amount of postage as the envelope used for
the submissions. If you do not want your mss. returned, please say so in
your cover letter and include a stamped self-addressed envelope so we may
notify you of our decision regarding your work.
- We cannot accept submissions
over the internet. Please send to our mailing address:
P.O. Box 41, Central Park Station
Buffalo, NY 14215.
- For each issue, writers
are requested to submit only 3 poems or short prose pieces, 3 pages
double spaced. Because of formatting limitations, we ask that you keep in
mind that our usual page width margin is approximately five inches. If your
poetry submissions exceed that margin, please indicate where line breaks
can be made.
- Occasionally, we accept

(change of address or other reason), be sure to state the theme of the issue
for which your submission was intended, the title(s) of your work, and enclose
